ISLAMABAD: In a recent operation, Islamabad Police arrested 18 individuals suspected of involvement in criminal activities, seizing weapons and drugs in the process. According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests include five individuals allegedly involved in various criminal activities. Law enforcement officials confiscated Ice, two pistols with ammunition, a rifle, and a dagger from the suspects. Legal proceedings against the individuals have commenced, and investigations continue.
As part of a targeted campaign to apprehend proclaimed offenders and absconders, the police also detained 13 additional suspects. This initiative follows specific directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi as part of ongoing efforts to combat crime and maintain order in Islamabad.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police’s commitment to safeguarding the community and ensuring public peace. The police urged citizens to report any suspicious activities to local authorities or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” underscoring the importance of community cooperation in crime prevention efforts.
