Islamabad Police Arrest Two Members of Snatcher Gang, Recover Stolen Items

Islamabad, In a significant crackdown on criminal activities, the Islamabad Capital Police’s Industrial Area team apprehended two wanted members of a notorious snatcher and bike lifter gang, recovering stolen motorbikes, mobile phones, and weapons used in their crimes.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were made following the directives of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, who has been focusing on intensifying efforts to root out crime within the city. The successful operation was a result of utilizing both technical and human intelligence resources, leading to the capture of Waqar Ahmed and Shehryar, who have been linked to numerous criminal incidents across Islamabad.

The police team’s efforts not only led to the arrest of these individuals but also the recovery of motorbikes, mobile phones, an iron punch, and a dagger, which were purportedly used in committing these crimes. Following their arrest, cases have been registered against the accused, and further investigations are ongoing to dismantle the remaining elements of the gang.
