Islamabad Police Arrest Two Members of Snatcher Gang, Recover Stolen Goods

Islamabad, In a significant crackdown on criminal activities, the Islamabad Police apprehended two members of a notorious snatcher gang, recovering stolen motorbikes, cash, and mobile phones. The operation was conducted by the Khanna police team, following strict directives to intensify efforts against crime in the city.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were made as part of a city-wide operation initiated under the orders of Inspector General of Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The suspects, identified as Rustam and Atif, were involved in multiple snatching incidents across Islamabad. The police utilized both technical and human resources to successfully track down and arrest these individuals.

Recovered items from the suspects include three motorbikes, various amounts of cash, and multiple mobile phones. Cases against the accused have been formally registered, and further investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of their criminal activities.

The Deputy Inspector General of Operations has issued orders to all senior officers to enhance the crackdown on individuals involved in criminal activities. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and security of the citizens’ lives and properties. The police also encourage the public to report any suspicious activities or individuals through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” or the “ICT-15” app.
