Islamabad, Islamabad Capital Police have successfully apprehended two drug peddlers, Shah Sawar Shah and Mushtaq Hussain, in a significant operation led by the Aabpara police station team. The operation resulted in the seizure of a substantial quantity of various drugs and the vehicle used for criminal activities.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests and drug seizure were part of a heightened crackdown on drug peddlers supplying narcotics to educational institutions. The directive for intensified operations was issued by Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, who aims to eradicate the drug menace from the city.
The police team recovered 5,940 grams of hashish, 4,640 grams of heroin, and 470 grams of Ice, along with the vehicle used to commit the crime. Cases have been registered against the accused, and further investigation is underway to unravel broader aspects of their drug peddling network.
ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has directed senior officials for an effective crackdown against individuals involved in drug peddling. He stressed that the Islamabad Capital Police is committed to curbing drug trafficking and ensuring the safety of the city’s youth. Dr. Khan’s emphasis on rigorous enforcement actions reflects the police’s determination to combat drug-related crimes and protect the younger generation from the dangers of narcotics.
