Islamabad Police Arrest Three Members of Snatcher Gang, Recover Valuables

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested three members of a known snatcher gang and recovered stolen valuables, including cash and mobile phones, according to a press release from Islamabad Capital Police. The arrests were made by the Humak police team utilizing both technical and human resources.

The police also confiscated weapons and ammunition found in the possession of the accused. The arrested individuals have had cases registered against them, and further investigations are ongoing.

DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq has noted that there is an ongoing effort to combat motorcycle theft and street robbery in the city. These operations have reportedly led to a decline in such incidents in the federal capital. Tariq has directed officers to continue the crackdown on criminal elements and emphasized the importance of bringing offenders to justice.

He also urged citizens to support police efforts by reporting any suspicious activities or objects to the nearest police station or via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.”
