Islamabad Police Arrest Three Members of Dacoit Gang, Recover Cash and Weapons

Islamabad: A significant breakthrough was achieved by the Sihala police station team as three members of a notorious dacoit gang were arrested, with a substantial amount of looted cash and weapons used in their crimes recovered, a public relations officer reported.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests came as part of a larger crackdown directed by Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The directive aimed to intensify efforts against criminal activities in Islamabad, leading to the apprehension of the wanted individuals. The police utilized both technical and human resources to successfully capture the culprits.

The individuals apprehended were identified as Muhammad Awais, Muhammad Adil, and Muhammad Abrar. During the operation, the police recovered looted cash totaling Rs 6.4 million and the weapons used in various robberies. Following their arrest, cases were registered against the accused, and further investigations are currently ongoing.

The Islamabad Police have urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or individuals by calling the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” or using the “ICT-15 app.” The safety and security of the residents remain a high priority for the authorities.
