Islamabad: A suspect has been arrested by the Islamabad Police in connection with the sexual assault of a young boy, officials confirmed today. The arrest followed a distressing report filed by the victim’s father on October 24, 2024, which led to a swift police response and the registration of the case under file No. 581/24 at the Bhara Kahu police station.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the suspect, identified as Mohsin, was apprehended using scientific and technical resources by a specialized team led by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation. The efforts to capture the accused were prioritized due to the severe nature of the allegations, with senior police officials directly overseeing the operation.
The police have successfully obtained a physical remand for Mohsin to facilitate further investigation into the incident. Efforts are also ongoing to locate and arrest an accomplice involved in the case.
