Islamabad Police Arrest Six in Major Drug Crackdown

Islamabad, The Islamabad Police, under the direction of Inspector General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, have arrested six individuals and seized a large cache of narcotics in a concerted effort to combat drug-related crime in the city. This initiative is part of the “Nasha Ab Nahi” movement, which aims to protect the youth from the dangers of drug abuse.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the recent arrests took place over the last 24 hours, targeting drug peddlers across various districts. In Golra, two suspects, Irfan Haider and Muhammad Altaf, were caught with 1635 grams of heroin. Meanwhile, Tarnol police apprehended Arshad Mehmood, Muhammad Manzoor, and Rashid, finding 110 grams of ice and 1880 grams of heroin in their possession. In Bani Gala, Akbar Ali was arrested with 171 grams of heroin. All accused have had cases filed against them, and investigations are ongoing.

DIG Operations Islamabad, Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari, emphasized the importance of public safety and declared an intensified crackdown on criminal elements within the city. He assured that the police would not tolerate any laxity in ensuring the security of the citizens.
