Islamabad Police Arrest Seven in Anti-Narcotics Operation, Seize Large Drug Cache

Islamabad, In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Islamabad Police have arrested seven individuals accused of peddling narcotics and seized a significant quantity of drugs. This operation is part of a special campaign named “Nashaa Ab Nahi,” initiated under the orders of the Inspector General of Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, to combat drug abuse and protect the city’s youth.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the recent arrests occurred within the last 24 hours in various districts of Islamabad. The police teams from Sabzi Mandi and Khanna stations made significant seizures, including over a kilogram of heroin and substantial amounts of the synthetic drug known as ‘Ice.’ Additionally, the Sihala police apprehended two suspects with smaller quantities of ice and illegal liquor, while the Ramna team arrested a female suspect found in possession of narcotics.

DIG Operations Islamabad, Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari, emphasized the ongoing commitment to public safety and declared an intensification of efforts against criminal networks involved in drug trafficking. He assured that the safety and security of citizens are paramount and that strict measures are in place to uphold law and order.

The arrested individuals have been charged, and further investigations are ongoing to dismantle local drug distribution chains.
