Islamabad Police Arrest Members of Burglary Gang; Recover Stolen Goods and Vehicle

Islamabad: In a significant crackdown on criminal activities, the Aabpara police team has successfully apprehended two key members of a notorious burglary gang, recovering stolen valuables and a vehicle used in the crimes. This operation is part of a broader initiative by the Islamabad Police to enhance safety and reduce crime in the city.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were made following specific directives from Inspector General of Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has prioritized the eradication of criminal elements within Islamabad. The successful operation involved the use of both technical and human resources, leading to the capture of Masoom Hussain and Ghulam Abbas, both of whom were wanted for multiple burglary offenses.

The police also seized stolen items and a vehicle associated with the duo’s criminal activities. A formal case has been registered, and further investigations are underway to ascertain the extent of their operations and recover additional stolen properties.

DIG Islamabad, Ali Raza, has issued instructions to all senior officials to intensify efforts against individuals involved in such criminal acts, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the safety of the citizens’ lives and properties. The public is encouraged to contribute to these efforts by reporting any suspicious activities or individuals through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” or the “ICT-15” app.
