Islamabad, The Islamabad Police have arrested four members of two notorious snatcher gangs and recovered stolen motorbikes, cash, mobile phones, and weapons. The operation, conducted by the Shalimar police team, is part of a city-wide crackdown against criminal activities directed by Inspector General of Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests and recoveries were made following the special directives of the Inspector General to intensify efforts against criminal elements in Islamabad. The operation utilized both technical and human resources to apprehend the individuals, identified as Abdul Khaliq, Muhammad Khalid, Rashid Ali, and Najeeb Ullah, who were involved in multiple snatching incidents across the city.
Further investigations are underway as cases have been registered against the accused. In response to the recent successes, DIG Operations has issued orders for a continued and effective crackdown to ensure the safety of the public. The police also urge citizens to report suspicious activities through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” or the “ICT-15” app to aid in their efforts to maintain safety and security.
