ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have apprehended five suspects allegedly involved in various criminal activities. Authorities have confiscated a significant quantity of drugs and weapons from the suspects, signaling an ongoing effort to curb crime in the region.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests led to the recovery of 1,653 grams of hashish, 105 grams of heroin, a Kalashnikov, and two pistols with ammunition. Legal cases have been filed against the suspects as investigations proceed to uncover further details.
Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has directed a sustained crackdown on criminal elements within the city. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated the police force’s commitment to safeguarding residents’ lives and properties, emphasizing that no disruptions to public peace will be tolerated.
Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to the police through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” fostering collaboration between the community and law enforcement to eliminate crime.
