Islamabad Police Arrest 33 Criminals, Seize Drugs and Weapons


ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police announced the arrest of 33 individuals involved in criminal activities, recovering a significant amount of drugs and weapons in the process. This operation is part of an ongoing effort to maintain peace in the federal capital.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, 13 suspects were apprehended and found in possession of 3,242 grams of hashish, 212 grams of ice, 55 bottles of liquor, a Kalashnikov rifle, and four pistols with ammunition. Legal cases have been filed against these individuals, and investigations are underway.



In a related campaign to capture proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams detained an additional 20 criminals. This initiative is in line with the directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has prioritized the crackdown on criminal elements in the city.



SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated the force’s dedication to safeguarding the residents’ lives and property, emphasizing that any threats to public peace will not be tolerated. The police have urged citizens to report suspicious activities either to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” aiming to foster cooperation between the police and the community in combating crime.
