ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have arrested 30 individuals suspected of involvement in various criminal activities, recovering a significant quantity of drugs and weapons, according to a recent press release.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were made by teams from Kohsar, Margalla, Shalimar, Golra, Tarnol, Sangjani, Shams Colony, Koral, Kirpa, Sihala, Humak, Lohi Bher, Nilore, Bhara Kahu, and Phulgran police stations. The police confiscated 2,108 grams of hashish, 1,648 grams of heroin, 392 grams of Ice, 103 bottles of liquor, 18 pistols, one Kalashnikov, and one gun with ammunition. Legal cases have been filed against the suspects, and further investigations are underway.
The operation was conducted under the directive of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as part of an ongoing effort to reduce crime in the federal capital. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police’s dedication to safeguarding residents’ lives and property, stressing that maintaining public peace is the police’s primary concern.
The police have also called on citizens to report any suspicious activities to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.” This initiative aims to strengthen the cooperation between the police and the public to effectively combat crime in the community.
