Islamabad Police Arrest 26 Suspects, Recover Weapons and Drugs


ISLAMABAD: In a significant operation against crime, Islamabad Police have arrested 26 individuals allegedly involved in various criminal activities, including drug peddling and the possession of illegal weapons. The police also recovered heroin and weapons with ammunition from the suspects, a public relations officer announced.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were carried out by teams from the Lohi Bher, Shams Colony, and Sabzi Mandi police stations. The arrested individuals have been identified as Bilal Khan, Muhammad Ali Raza, Muhammad Sohail, and Babar Shah. The police seized a 30-bore pistol with ammunition, a knife, and 362 grams of heroin from the suspects.



In addition to these arrests, 22 absconders were apprehended from different areas of the city in the past 24 hours. SSP Operations/Investigations Muhammad Arslan Shah Zaib emphasized the police force’s commitment to maintaining the safety of citizens in the federal capital, stating that they will not allow any disruptions to public peace. The protection of citizens’ lives, property, and dignity remains the top priority for Islamabad Police.



The police have urged citizens to report any suspicious activities by contacting their local police station or using the emergency helpline “Pukar-15,” highlighting the importance of cooperation between the police and the public in creating a crime-free environment.
