Islamabad Police Arrest 24 Suspects in 24-Hour Operation

Islamabad: In a significant crackdown on crime, the Islamabad Police have arrested 24 individuals over the past 24 hours as part of an ongoing effort to maintain peace in the federal capital. The arrests were made by various police teams from Golra, Women, Tarnol, Sumabl, Sabzi Mandi, Noon, Shams Colony, Kirpa, and Lohi Bher.

The police confiscated a substantial amount of drugs and illegal weapons from the suspects. Recovered items included 2115 grams of heroin, 515 grams of hashish, 361 grams of Ice, five pistols, and three guns with accompanying ammunition.

As part of a special campaign focusing on apprehending proclaimed offenders and absconders, six additional criminals were detained. Legal proceedings have been initiated against those arrested, and investigations are currently in progress.

This operation follows directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has emphasized a rigorous approach to combating crime and ensuring tranquility in the city. The police have reiterated their commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of Islamabad’s residents.

Authorities have encouraged residents to report any suspicious activities to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to foster collaboration between the public and law enforcement in eradicating crime.
