Islamabad Police Arrest 21 in Crime Crackdown, Seize Drugs and Weapons

Islamabad: In a major operation over the last 24 hours, Islamabad Police arrested 21 individuals and confiscated significant quantities of drugs and weapons, intensifying their efforts to curb criminal activities in the city.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operation was conducted following directives from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to enhance the city’s security. The crackdown involved multiple police teams who targeted areas known for illicit activities. Notable arrests included Samson June, from whom 20 liters of liquor were seized, and Zeenat Ullah along with Imran Khan, who were found in possession of two rifles. Other individuals were apprehended with various amounts of heroin, hashish, and illegal firearms.

DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza has instructed officers to escalate their efforts against crime, emphasizing that citizen safety is a paramount concern and encouraging public cooperation through reporting suspicious activities via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” or the “ICT-15” app.
