Islamabad Police Arrest 15 Suspects, Seize Drugs and Weapons in Major Crackdown

Islamabad: Islamabad police have taken a significant step in curbing crime by arresting 15 individuals suspected of various criminal activities, as reported by local police stations in Shalimar, Tarnol, Kirpa, Humak, and Bani Gala. The arrests led to the recovery of drugs and weapons, according to a press release.

The police operations resulted in the seizure of 3,167 grams of heroin, 49 grams of opium, 300 bottles of liquor, and five pistols with ammunition. These items were confiscated from the suspects during the arrests.

In a related campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams successfully apprehended four individuals. Legal proceedings have been initiated against all those arrested, and investigations are ongoing.

The crackdown comes under the directives of Islamabad’s Inspector General of Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has emphasized the department’s commitment to maintaining peace and safety in the capital. The police have reiterated their resolve to protect the lives and property of citizens.

Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.” This initiative aims to foster cooperation between the public and law enforcement to combat crime effectively.
