Islamabad, In a significant crackdown over the past 24 hours, the Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 13 outlaws, including two professional beggars, from various areas of the city. The police also recovered drugs and weapons from the possession of the arrested individuals.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, The arrests were part of an intensified effort by the Islamabad Capital Police, under the direction of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, to eliminate crime in the city. In line with these directives, the Secretariat police team arrested Muhammad Tariq, recovering 117 grams of heroin. The Ramna team apprehended Faizan Altaf with a 30 bore pistol, and the Golra team arrested Muhammad Ghulam, seizing 1,150 grams of heroin.
Further, the Sumbal police detained Allah Ditta with 160 grams of heroin, while the Sangjani team arrested Aamir Shahzad and confiscated 520 grams of heroin. Muhammad Aleem was arrested by the Shams Colony police, from whom 525 grams of hashish were recovered. The Noon police arrested Muhammad Munwar for illegal selling of petrol, and the Phulgran team apprehended Shakir and Salah Ud Din, recovering a Kalashnikov and a 9mm pistol.
Additionally, the Bani Gala police arrested Usman Siddique, Abdul Muneeb, and Muhammad Qias, seizing two 30 bore pistols and 1,100 grams of hashish. The Humak team arrested Yousaf Khan for illegally selling diesel. All accused have had cases registered against them, and investigations are ongoing.
In a parallel operation, the Islamabad Capital Police cracked down on professional begging, resulting in the arrest of two professional beggars. Cases were registered against them under the beggar act.
ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan emphasized the importance of public safety and security, directing officials to intensify the crackdown on criminal elements. He affirmed that no laxity would be tolerated in ensuring the safety of citizens.
