ISLAMABAD: In a recent operation, the Islamabad Police have apprehended 13 individuals in connection with criminal activities, recovering significant quantities of drugs and weapons.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, teams from various police stations, including Sangjani, Industrial Area, Khanna, Sihala, Humak, Nilore, and Bani Gala, detained eight suspects involved in criminal enterprises. The police seized 2,334 grams of hashish, 380 grams of heroin, and five pistols with ammunition from the suspects. Legal proceedings have been initiated, and investigations are underway.
In addition, as part of a dedicated campaign to capture proclaimed offenders and absconders, law enforcement officials arrested five more individuals. This initiative follows directives from IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, emphasizing a robust response to crime to maintain safety and order in the federal capital.
SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza affirmed the police’s commitment to safeguarding the community’s welfare, asserting that maintaining peace and security remains a primary objective. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activity to local police or through the “Pucar-15” emergency helpline, promoting a cooperative effort to eliminate crime.
