Islamabad: In a significant operation, the Islamabad Police have arrested 12 individuals allegedly involved in various criminal activities and seized a substantial amount of drugs and weapons. The arrests were made by teams from the Golra, Sumbal, Sangjani, Industrial Area, Noon, Shams Colony, and Sihala police stations.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operation led to the recovery of 1,715 grams of hashish, 1,060 grams of heroin, five pistols, and a rifle with ammunition. Legal cases have been filed against the suspects, and investigations are ongoing. Additionally, a special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders resulted in the arrest of two more individuals.
The crackdown is part of a broader initiative directed by Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at maintaining peace and security in the capital. SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, reiterated the police’s commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of residents. The public is encouraged to report suspicious activities to local police stations or via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to assist in the fight against crime.
