Islamabad Police Arrest 11 Outlaws, Seize Drugs and Weapons in Citywide Crackdown

Islamabad, The Islamabad Capital Police successfully apprehended 11 outlaws, including two professional beggars, in various areas of the city over the last 24 hours. In addition to the arrests, the police also seized a significant quantity of drugs and weapons. This operation is part of a wider effort by the city’s law enforcement to purge Islamabad of criminal activities, ensuring the safety and security of its citizens.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests and seizures were made following specific directives from the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, to intensify the crackdown against criminals. Among the seized items were a 9mm pistol, 60 liters of liquor, 530 grams of hashish, two 30 bore pistols, one dagger, and 10 liters of liquor. The arrested individuals were involved in various illegal activities, including possession of narcotics and unlicensed weapons.

The operation saw the Tarnol police team apprehending Muhammad Imran with a 9mm pistol, the Industrial Area police arresting Rasheed with 60 liters of liquor, and the Shams Colony police detaining Ahmed Sattar with 530 grams of hashish. Additional arrests included Muhammad Bilal and Sajjad Khan by the Khanna police, Fazal Ghafoor by the Humak police, Dawood by the Shahzad Town police, and Sharafat by the Bani Gala police, each found in possession of illegal weapons or narcotics.

Further investigations are underway, with cases registered against all the arrested individuals. The crackdown also targeted professional beggars, leading to the arrest of two individuals under the beggars act, highlighting the police’s commitment to addressing all forms of criminality in the city.

Senior police officials have emphasized the importance of the ongoing crackdown, directing officers to escalate their efforts against criminal elements. The overarching goal is to ensure the safety and security of Islamabad’s citizens, with a clear message that any laxity in these efforts will not be tolerated.
