Islamabad, In a significant citywide operation, the Islamabad Capital Police have arrested 10 outlaws from various parts of the city over the last 24 hours, seizing drugs and weapons in the process. This move comes as part of intensified efforts to purge the city of criminal elements, adhering to special directives from the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the crackdown has led to the apprehension of individuals involved in various illegal activities, with the police recovering a 30 bore pistol from Muhammad Qasim in the Karachi Company area, and 1130 grams of hashish from Afaq in Tarnol. In the Industrial Area, Sabbir and Sahmoon were caught with a 30 bore pistol and 20 liters of liquor, while the Shams Colony police apprehended NazirGul and Wattan with two 30 bore pistols.
Further arrests included Muhammad Ali in Kirpa for illegally selling petrol, Muhammad Usman in Humak with a 30 bore pistol, Yaseen Khan in Bhara Kahu with 540 grams of heroin, and Sher Muhammad in Bani Gala, also found in possession of a 30 bore pistol.
The police have registered cases against all the accused, and investigations are currently underway. ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has issued a directive for police officials to escalate the crackdown on criminal activities, emphasizing that the safety and security of the citizens are of paramount importance and that no negligence in this regard will be tolerated.
