Islamabad, In a significant crackdown on criminal activities, the Islamabad Capital Police Anti Robbery and Dacoity Unit (ARDU) has apprehended a wanted member of a snatcher gang, recovering stolen items in the process.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrest was made following directives from Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, who has emphasized intensifying actions against criminal elements in the city. Utilizing both technical and human resources, the ARDU team successfully captured Muhammad Aakash, a notorious figure involved in numerous snatching incidents across various areas of Islamabad.

The police team recovered three snatched mobile phones and a motorbike used in these crimes from Aakash’s possession. Following his arrest, cases have been registered, and a thorough investigation is underway.

ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has instructed all senior officials to continue an effective crackdown against individuals engaged in criminal activities, prioritizing the safety and security of the citizens.
