Islamabad: In a significant crackdown on criminal activities, the Noon police team of Islamabad has arrested Asif Khan, a wanted member of an inter-provincial bike lifter gang, recovering seven stolen motorcycles and a firearm in the process.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrest followed the directives of Inspector General of Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who initiated an aggressive campaign against bike lifters and other criminal elements to enhance public safety and secure the citizens’ valuables. The operation utilized both technical and human resources, leading to the successful capture of the accused, against whom multiple cases have been registered.
DIG Islamabad, Ali Raza, has instructed all senior officials to intensify efforts against those involved in criminal activities, emphasizing the protection of lives and properties as a top priority. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” or the “ICT-15” app.
