ISLAMABAD, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has directed Pakistani authorities to provide maximum facilitation and expedite the visa process for Sikh Yatrees visiting Pakistan for religious festivals.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during a meeting to review visa facilities for Sikh pilgrims, PM Kakar emphasized the importance of ensuring that Sikh Yatrees, considered guests in Pakistan, receive all necessary assistance in performing their religious rituals and visiting holy places.
The meeting was informed about the various Sikh festivals and the existing visa issuance facilities. The Prime Minister instructed relevant authorities to enhance the visa issuance process while maintaining transparency. He stressed that those coming through the Kartarpur Corridor should experience facilities of international standards.
The Interior Ministry briefed the Prime Minister on administrative affairs related to the Kartarpur Corridor and the annual Sikh festivals. In response, PM Kakar asked for a comprehensive strategy to better facilitate Sikh pilgrims visiting Pakistan.
