Islamabad: Pakistan is making comprehensive arrangements to host the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Islamabad, marking a significant event for the country, as per Information Minister Attaullah Tarar. Speaking at a news conference, the minister highlighted that this is the first time in many decades that Pakistan will host such a large international gathering, with heads of government from member countries expected to attend.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Tarar praised the country’s recent successes on the foreign policy front under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He cited the recent visit of the Malaysian Prime Minister as a key success, noting Malaysia’s interest in importing rice and meat from Pakistan. Additionally, a high-level Saudi delegation is expected to visit Pakistan in the coming days.

Tarar also pointed to Pakistan’s improving economic indicators, which he said are being recognized by international institutions and leaders. He emphasized that the government’s priority is to enhance the well-being of the common man.
