At Air Headquarters in Islamabad, a central ceremony took place, attended by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, as the Chief Guest.
During his address, the Air Chief highlighted the legacy of sacrifice and professionalism that defines the PAF. He stated that Martyrs’ Day is a testament to the bravery and spirit of sacrifice of Pakistan’s Armed Forces. He also noted that PAF is committed to its mission amid changing security dynamics, with recent victories affirming its capability to defend the country’s aerial frontiers.
The Air Chief paid tribute to PAF’s fallen heroes, acknowledging their supreme sacrifices and expressing gratitude. He emphasized the importance of their legacy for future generations and extended solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in their struggle for self-determination.
In closing, the Air Chief affirmed his commitment to Pakistan’s progress and prosperity within the global landscape. He stated that PAF would continue to advance its capabilities in various domains to protect the nation’s sovereignty and integrity.
Following the ceremony, the Chief of the Air Staff laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument and offered Fateha for the departed souls, paying further homage to the martyrs.
