Islamabad: Federal Minister for Communications, Mr. Abdul Aleem Khan, conducted a site visit to the Islamabad-Murree Expressway to assess the progress of development works, signaling that the project is on track for completion and will soon be inaugurated by the Prime Minister.
The minister noted significant advancements and acknowledged the efforts of the National Highway Authority team in upgrading the expressway to meet international standards. The expressway, a key route to a major tourist destination, has undergone modernization to enhance safety and travel comfort.
Mr. Abdul Aleem Khan highlighted the installation of a modern lighting system along the expressway, aimed at improving night-time visibility and safety. The deployment of Motorway Police is set to bolster safety measures, ensuring efficient traffic flow and commuter assistance.
Additionally, Mr. Khan pointed out the establishment of new rest areas equipped with essential facilities to enhance traveler comfort. He reiterated that the project’s nearing completion underscores the government’s commitment to developing infrastructure that promotes tourism and public convenience.
