Islamabad: The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training announced that starting Wednesday, dedicated pink buses will be available exclusively for female students and teachers in Islamabad. This initiative, directed by the Prime Minister, aims to enhance safety, accessibility, and support for women’s education and empowerment in the region.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the pink buses will serve all major routes, linking rural and urban areas to facilitate easier commutes for women and girls. The service will provide free, secure, and convenient transportation, significantly reducing travel time and increasing access to educational and professional opportunities.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to promote girls’ education and women’s empowerment in Islamabad, reflecting a commitment to inclusive development and support for gender equality in education.
