Lahore, In a gesture recognizing the sacrifices of police officers, Inspector General (IG) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has provided a new residence valued at Rs 1.35 million to the family of Constable Muhammad Qaiser of the Lahore Police, who was martyred in a confrontation with dacoits in the Mohalanwal region of Lahore.
According to a news release by the Punjab Police, this act comes as a part of the ongoing welfare initiatives for the families of martyred officials. The new home, located in a private housing society, is fully equipped with all necessary amenities. The legacy of service and sacrifice runs deep in the family of Constable Muhammad Qaiser. His father, Head Constable Allah Dutta, was martyred on January 25, 2011, while bravely intercepting a suicide bomber outside Karbala Game Shah. For his courageous act, the Government of Pakistan posthumously awarded the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal to Head Constable Allah Ditta. Furthermore, two of Constable Muhammad Qaiser’s brothers, Muhammad Faisal and Ahmad Ali, are actively serving in the police force.
In his statement, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar lauded the sacrifices made by the family, emphasizing that the officers who lay down their lives in the line of duty for the protection of the public are the pride of the department. He also stressed that while no welfare measure can fully compensate for the profound sacrifices of such families, the Punjab Police remains committed to ensuring the well-being of its fallen heroes’ loved ones, promising never to leave them unsupported.
