Islamabad: Under the directive of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Mohammad Ali Randhawa, the Capital Development Authority (CDA), along with the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) and district administration, has mobilized joint teams to manage the city’s drainage systems during the monsoon season. This initiative aims to prevent waterlogging on roads and ensure the smooth flow of water through drains and waterways.
According to Capital Development Authority, these efforts are part of a comprehensive strategy to maintain strict monitoring of all highways, underpasses, and sloping areas to prevent any obstruction in the flow of water. The presence of CDA staff and machinery in the field is critical for monitoring and managing the city’s drainage during heavy rains.
Chairman CDA has also instructed all officers and staff to be actively present in the field to oversee these operations, emphasizing the importance of readiness and responsiveness to monsoon challenges. This proactive approach is intended to mitigate the impact of the monsoon rains on residents and infrastructure, ensuring safety and minimizing disruptions.
