Islamabad, DIG Operations Islamabad, Syed Ali Raza, led a focused meeting with traffic police officials to bolster traffic management and improve public travel facilities across the city. The gathering aimed at refining operations to ensure a smoother flow of traffic and enhance law enforcement effectiveness on the roads.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting, which took place at the Traffic Police Headquarters, saw the participation of SSP Traffic Muhammad Sarfraz Virk and various zonal DSPs. DIG Raza outlined a series of directives designed to address key issues in the city’s traffic system, including the effectiveness of the Traffic Police education team, the intensification of campaigns against one-wheeling, and accelerated actions against vehicles with fancy number plates, tinted glasses, and unlicensed drivers.
Additionally, DIG Raza emphasized the need for mobile traffic services at educational institutions and significant locations to mitigate illegal parking at key commercial spots. He also called for enhanced activity on the Islamabad Traffic Police FM Radio and improved welfare for officers on duty.
The session underscored the administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens’ lives and property and maintaining seamless traffic flow in the capital, marking it as a top priority for the city’s governance.
