Islamabad, In a significant move to bolster security around diplomatic precincts, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad, Syed Ali Raza, conducted a detailed briefing with foreign diplomats and regional security officers at the Diplomatic Enclave today. The meeting focused on comprehensive updates and enhancements to security protocols aimed at ensuring the safety of diplomatic missions.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the briefing covered a range of new security measures implemented in and around the Diplomatic Enclave and other embassy locations throughout the city. DIG Raza underscored the integration of advanced technology and infrastructure improvements, including the reconstruction of the protective barrier surrounding the enclave and the installation of modern surveillance cameras along critical points.
The meeting also introduced the establishment of a Police Khidmat Markaz within the Diplomatic Enclave. This center will provide various police-related services under one roof, facilitating easier access for both citizens and diplomatic staff.
DIG Raza detailed the strategic deployment of increased patrols, both mobile and on foot, and the use of enhanced surveillance techniques for vehicle monitoring within the enclave. A new communication initiative includes the formation of a dedicated WhatsApp group to improve coordination and response times to any security concerns raised by the diplomatic community.
During the discussion, participants addressed current security challenges and received assurances from DIG Raza that all necessary resources are being deployed to maintain and further enhance the safety of foreign missions in Islamabad. The DIG emphasized that the security of these missions remains a top priority for Islamabad Capital Police.
