Islamabad Conference Focuses on Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem Nexus for OIC Security


Islamabad: A significant conference titled “Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem Nexus for the Security of OIC Countries” begins today in Islamabad, hosted by the Islamic World Academy of Sciences in partnership with the Pakistan Academy of Sciences. The event aims to delve into the interdependencies between water, energy, food, and ecosystems, highlighting their importance for the security of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member countries.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the conference will be inaugurated by Chairman Senate, Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani, and Senator Sherry Rehman. Over the next three days, experts and stakeholders from various OIC countries will discuss strategies and solutions to enhance resource security and sustainability, employing the nexus approach to manage the interlinked challenges facing their nations.
