Islamabad Commends First Traders Registered under Tajir Dost Scheme


Islamabad, In a significant development for tax reform, the Regional Tax Office (RTO) Rawalpindi celebrated the registration of the first four traders under the new Tajir Dost Scheme today. This initiative, spearheaded by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), aims to enhance tax compliance and integrate the informal economy into the formal sector.



According to Press Information Department, Ms. Tehmina Aamer, Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, praised the traders for their willingness to engage with the new scheme. During a ceremony, she personally awarded registration certificates to the traders and lauded them as ambassadors of the RTO, Rawalpindi. Their commitment to promoting the scheme among their peers is expected to foster a culture of compliance and accountability within the business community.



The event also highlighted the efforts of the District Tax Officers and their teams who have been instrumental in implementing the Tajir Dost Scheme. As the program gains traction, the RTO, Rawalpindi, is dedicated to providing ongoing support to traders in their transition toward tax compliance.
