Islamabad, The Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) of Islamabad has lauded the officers and officials for their commitment and efforts in ensuring a smooth flow of traffic on the capital’s roads. This acknowledgment comes in the wake of special directives issued by the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, to recognize outstanding performance and address any negligence.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the CTO praised 40 police officers and officials of the Traffic Police, awarding them commendations, certificates, and cash rewards for their role in maintaining smooth traffic flow in Islamabad. This recognition is part of an ongoing effort to encourage high standards of service among the traffic police personnel.
During the event, the CTO emphasized the ongoing policy of rewarding excellence and maintaining strict disciplinary actions against those who exhibit subpar performance. He highlighted the necessity of adhering to traffic laws to reduce accidents and ensure the safety of the public. The CTO reiterated the commitment of the Islamabad Capital Police to enforce strict legal actions against traffic law violators to maintain coherence and order on the roads.
Further, the CTO pointed out the role of police awareness teams, which are actively educating citizens at various checkpoints and roads about traffic laws and road safety. He also mentioned the contribution of Islamabad Capital Police’s radio FM 92.4 in raising awareness about road safety and providing the latest traffic updates to the city’s residents.
