Islamabad, In response to directives from Islamabad Capital City Police Officer Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police have intensified their efforts to maintain peace and security within the federal capital’s High Security Zone. A public relations officer from the police department outlined the comprehensive measures being taken to ensure the safety of both public and private properties, including embassies located within this critical area.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, significant steps have been implemented to bolster security protocols. These include the meticulous registration and verification of identification documents for all individuals entering the High Security Zone, alongside thorough searches to prevent any unauthorized access. In the past week alone, police forces have removed tinted glasses from 931 vehicles and corrected improper number plates on 180 vehicles, highlighting their commitment to enforcing traffic and security regulations.
The police have also issued strict instructions to officers and officials stationed at checkpoints within the High Security Zone, emphasizing the importance of executing their duties with utmost responsibility and diligence. The aim is to enhance the screening process for entering citizens, ensuring detailed data entry and scrutiny of identification documents, searching all suspicious vehicles, and maintaining a positive interaction with the public.
Furthermore, the Islamabad Capital Police have called on citizens to play a role in sustaining the area’s security by cooperating with law enforcement efforts and reporting any suspicious activities through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” or the ICT-15 app. This collaborative approach between the police force and the community is crucial for maintaining a secure environment in one of the city’s most sensitive zones.
