Islamabad, The Islamabad Capital Police Radio FM 92.4 has proven to be an efficient tool for disseminating traffic updates, awareness messages, and recreational content to the citizens of Islamabad. In 2023, the radio station broadcasted a significant number of traffic-related updates and programs, contributing to public safety and awareness.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, under the guidance of the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, Radio FM 92.4 broadcasted 14,754 traffic updates, 108,000 traffic-related awareness messages, and 1,520 recreational and informational programs throughout 2023. This initiative reflects the department’s commitment to keeping the public informed and educated about traffic laws and road safety.

The CPO Safe City/Traffic highlighted that while ensuring the security of life and property is a priority for the Islamabad Capital Police, they are also dedicated to providing the public with essential information regarding traffic and offering recreational opportunities. The awareness team actively educates citizens at various intersections and roads, emphasizing the importance of adhering to traffic laws and road safety practices.

Emphasizing the ongoing efforts to protect citizens and maintain public peace, the police urged residents to cooperate with law enforcement agencies. The Islamabad Capital Police encouraged citizens to report any suspicious activities or relevant information to the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” or the ICT app “15” for immediate assistance.
