Islamabad, Following the special orders of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police’s “Knock the Door” campaign is underway to register tenants and domestic workers in the federal capital. The campaign involves police teams going door-to-door to ensure registration and to address citizen concerns.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, The campaign, as explained by the Islamabad Capital Police, involves various police teams visiting neighborhoods to register tenants and domestic workers. The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Islamabad has already registered data for 267 house servants and tenants from 580 houses within the Bara Kahu Police Station’s jurisdiction. The primary aim of this initiative is to prevent untoward incidents and maintain law and order in the city. Registration of tenants and domestic workers is seen as a crucial step in monitoring potential miscreants and curbing suspicious activities.
Citizens are encouraged to verify the identity of any individual in civilian clothes who comes to their house for data collection. The campaign underscores the importance of registering unlisted employees and tenants, as they could potentially be involved in serious incidents like theft and robbery. The Islamabad Capital Police is committed to using all available resources to provide a safe environment for the citizens of the federal capital.
