Islamabad, April 08, 2023 (PPI-OT):Islamabad Capital Police is continuing its crackdown against vehicles with tinted glasses, fancy number plates and unregistered vehicles. In this regard, special squads have been constituted to take action against such vehicles.
According to details, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police is taking legal action against vehicles and motorcycles with unregistered, black glasses, fancy, and non-sample number plates to ensure the implementation of traffic rules and to further strengthen the supremacy of the law.
The Islamabad Capital Police aims to enforce a zero-tolerance policy following these directions, as it is a moral responsibility to spread awareness regarding road safety while enforcing laws.
In this regard, 89 challan tickets were issued against vehicles with fancy number plates and 09 vehicles and motorcycles were impounded at different police stations. Islamabad Police also took action against unregistered vehicles and motorcycles and issued 49 challan tickets and impounded 19 vehicles at various police stations. Meanwhile, 49 challan tickets were issued and 19 unregistered vehicles and bikes were impounded.
The Islamabad Capital Police has deployed special enforcement squads at various places in the federal capital by setting up special pickets, which are carrying out operations without discrimination. Special instructions have also been issued to all zonal DSPs to take more effective action against vehicles and motorcycles that are unregistered and have black glasses, fancy, and non-sample number plates.
In this regard, special instructions have been issued to the officials of Islamabad Capital Police to ensure strict implementation of these orders.
