Karachi, Islamabad Capital Police has ramped up efforts in its “Knock the Door” campaign, targeting the registration of house servants and tenants throughout the city, a public relations officer reported today. This initiative, led by Islamabad Capital City Police Officer Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, aims to enhance security and maintain order in the federal capital.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, specialized teams are actively conducting doortodoor visits to ensure comprehensive registration. This campaign also provides an opportunity for officers to directly engage with citizens and address any concerns they might have.
In a significant development, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Islamabad has successfully recorded data for 207 house servants across 516 residences within the Secretariat Police Station’s jurisdiction. The primary goal of this extensive drive is to mitigate risks of incidents, closely monitor potential miscreants, and avert activities deemed suspicious.
The campaign also focuses on educating residents. Citizens are encouraged to verify identities, especially when individuals in civilian attire visit for data collection purposes. This measure is essential to distinguish between legitimate officials and those who might pose as common citizens to commit crimes such as theft or robbery.
The Islamabad Capital Police emphasizes its commitment to utilizing all available resources to ensure the safety and security of the capital’s residents. The campaign is a proactive step towards preventing criminal activities and fostering a more secure environment in the city.
