Islamabad Capital Police Initiate Major Operation Against Encroachments

Islamabad, The Islamabad Capital Police, under the guidance of Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), has launched a significant operation against illegal encroachments in various parts of the federal capital. The crackdown, which targets unauthorized structures and extortion activities, is part of an effort to improve traffic flow and maintain public order in the city.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were carried out in Tarnol and Khanna Pull areas. Under the supervision of the DPO Saddar, police teams conducted operations in Tarnol to dismantle illegal roadblocks and unauthorized structures. During these operations, individuals accused of extorting money from roadside vendors, cart pullers, fruit shop owners, and hoteliers were arrested, with cases registered against them at the Tarnol police station.

In a parallel effort in the Khanna Pull area, police teams led by DPO Sawan removed similar encroachments and unauthorized structures, aiming to alleviate traffic congestion. The operations in both areas reflect the police’s commitment to ensuring smoother traffic flow and enhancing public safety.

Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the ICCPO, praised the efforts of DPO Saddar, Sawan, and their teams, highlighting the importance of these operations in improving the city’s traffic conditions. He emphasized that the campaign against encroachments would continue in other areas where traffic flow is adversely affected.

The Islamabad Capital Police also called on citizens to play their part in maintaining security. They urged the public to report any suspicious persons or activities to their local police station, use the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” or report incidents through the “ICT-15” app.
