Islamabad Capital Police Inaugurates New DPO Office in Industrial Area

Islamabad, The Islamabad Capital City Police Officer, Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, has officially opened the new Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Industrial Area office. The inauguration of the new building in the I-8 Markaz was announced by the public relations officer of the Islamabad Capital Police.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the event was attended by notable figures including the SSP Operations, local dignitaries, traders, and representatives from the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, a host of senior police officers and officials were present at the ceremony.

The new DPO office replaces the previous one that was located on Kashmir Highway and was destroyed during protests. Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan highlighted that the Islamabad Capital Police had managed to set up a temporary DPO office in I-8 Markaz with limited resources after the incident. The newly constructed office is strategically located, covering key areas like Expressway, Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed Road, Faizabad, and several major bus terminals.

Dr. Khan also emphasized the significance of the new office in enhancing security measures. He noted that the installation of surveillance cameras in the I-8 Markaz and its surrounding areas, integrated with the centralized system of Safe City Islamabad, is expected to bolster efforts in controlling crime and combating terrorism.

The inauguration was met with positive responses from local community leaders, the traders union, and the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce. They expressed their support and appreciation for the efforts of the Islamabad Capital Police in establishing the new DPO Industrial Area office, viewing it as a step forward in maintaining peace and security in the region.
