Islamabad Capital Police Implement Enhanced Security Measures

Islamabad, In response to directives from Islamabad Capital City Police Officer Dr. Akbar Nasir, Islamabad Capital Police have significantly bolstered security protocols throughout the federal capital. The measures are aimed at mitigating potential risks and maintaining public order, including the enforcement of Section 144, which prohibits demonstrations and gatherings within the city limits.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the heightened security framework also restricts political activities in Islamabad, permitting only individuals with official invitations to approach Parliament House. These invitees are required to confirm the validity of their invitations prior to their attendance at the National Assembly session, as certain invitations have been revoked.

The police have emphasized that authorization from SSP Operations is mandatory for any activities within the High-Security Zone, underscoring the rigorous surveillance and monitoring being conducted through the Safe City initiative. The statement further warned that legal consequences await those found engaging in unauthorized actions.

The Islamabad Capital Police’s initiative reflects a comprehensive approach to safeguarding the lives and properties of its citizens. The community is encouraged to play a role in this security effort by reporting suspicious activities or items to the police through the “Pucar-15” hotline or the ICT-15 application, underscoring the importance of collaboration between law enforcement and the public in ensuring collective safety.
