Islamabad, August 21, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Islamabad Capital Police ensured unwavering security for high security zone to ensure the safety and security of vital government offices, embassies, and other important installations, a police public relations officer said.

He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, special orders have been issued to all officials to maintain law and order within the federal capital.

Following these directions, the officers and personnel of the Islamabad Capital Police are tirelessly executing their duties to safeguard government offices, embassies, and other significant installations.

With a strong focus on effective crowd management and access control, the police officials are diligently overseeing the flow of individuals within the high security zone. Rigorous search procedures and thorough information registration of visitors are being meticulously conducted to ensure enhanced security measures.

Senior officers have issued clear directives to officials on duty, emphasizing the imperative nature of protecting both government institutions and important installations along with embassies located within the high-security zone.

They further directed the officials to maintain a high vigilance or oversight during the duty hours. Stringent data collection from individuals entering the high-security zone, coupled with comprehensive inspections of vehicles and motorcycles, have been deemed essential components of this heightened security protocol.

All government employees are urged to carry their official departmental identification cards at all times and to actively cooperate with on-duty police officers during the search and data entry procedures.

The Islamabad Capital Police is sparing no effort in leveraging all available resources to preserve the peace and order within the federal capital of Islamabad. Citizens are requested to report suspicious individuals and activity to nearest police stations or Pukar-15 helpline.
