Islamabad, The Islamabad Capital Police have intensified security arrangements in the High Security Zone of the federal capital. This includes the registration of citizens entering the zone and stringent checking measures. Several legal actions have been taken against vehicles and motorcyclists for law violations at various checkpoints.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, these measures follow specific directives from the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. The police are committed to ensuring the security of the federal capital. Registration and data identification procedures have been implemented for those entering the high-security zone. In addition, vehicles and motorcyclists at various checkpoints have faced legal action for a range of violations. In the last week alone, actions were taken against 611 vehicles with black glasses, 41 non-sample number plates, and 9 vehicles without proper documents. Traffic police also issued challans to 504 motorcycle riders for not wearing helmets and excessive riding. Senior police officers have instructed officers and jawans to perform their duties responsibly, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding public and private properties, including embassies, in the high-security zone. They have been directed to thoroughly check documents, search suspicious vehicles, and maintain a positive attitude towards the public. The public’s cooperation with on-duty officials has been requested.
