Islamabad, The Islamabad Capital Police has announced a set of enhanced security directives aimed at bolstering public safety and law enforcement efficiency. The instructions were specifically issued to the Dolphin Squad, a rapid response unit within the police force known for its mobility and effectiveness in urban policing. CPO/DIG Operations Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari outlined a comprehensive protocol for the Dolphin Squad officials, emphasizing the importance of diligence, the use of protective gear, and a swift response to emergency calls.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the directives underscore the necessity for Dolphin Squad personnel to remain vigilant during their patrols, especially near mosques during prayer times, and to rigorously inspect suspicious motorcycles, vehicles, and individuals. The CPO/DIG Operations stressed the importance of maintaining a professional demeanor with the public, explicitly instructing officers to avoid inappropriate behavior during checks.
In addition to operational guidelines, CPO/DIG Operations Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari announced a merit-based incentive system, promising rewards for officials who demonstrate exemplary performance in their duties. Conversely, a strict accountability mechanism has been put in place to penalize those found engaging in bribery or misconduct, ensuring that the force’s integrity and commitment to public service remain uncompromised.
This move by the Islamabad Capital Police is a part of a broader strategy to enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement in the capital, reflecting a proactive approach to community policing and public engagement.
