Islamabad, In a major crackdown against criminal elements, the Islamabad Capital Police apprehended nine outlaws, including two professional beggars, in various areas of the city over the last 24 hours. Drugs and weapons were recovered from their possession.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operation was conducted under the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. The Industrial Area police team arrested an individual named Yahiya Khan, confiscating a 30 bore pistol with ammunition. Similarly, the Sabzi Mandi police team detained two individuals, Yaseen and Khalid Khan, recovering 213 grams of heroin and a 30 bore pistol.
The Lohi Bher police team also arrested two people, seizing two 30 bore pistols. In addition, the Phulgran police apprehended a person named Waseem with 690 grams of heroin, and the Nilore police team arrested Nasir Mehmood, seizing a 30 bore pistol and ammunition.
Cases have been registered against all the arrested individuals, and further investigations are underway. The ongoing crackdown also resulted in the arrest of two professional beggars, highlighting the police’s effort to address various forms of criminal activities in the city.
ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has directed the police officials to intensify their crackdown against criminal elements, emphasizing that the safety and security of the citizens are of utmost priority. He asserted that no laxity would be tolerated in ensuring the security of the public.
