ISLAMABAD, The Islamabad Capital Police have successfully apprehended 21 outlaws, including eight professional beggars, and seized a significant amount of drugs, liquor, and weapons in various operations across the city over the last 24 hours. This crackdown is part of a concerted effort to eradicate crime in the capital.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests and seizures were made following special instructions from Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan to intensify actions against criminal elements. The operations led to the recovery of heroin, liquor bottles, hashish, and firearms with ammunition. Teams from different police stations, including Aabpara, Karachi Company, Sangjani, Industrial-Area, Shams Colony, Khanna, Phulgran, Nilore, and Shahzad Town, participated in these actions.
Cases have been registered against the accused, and investigations are ongoing. Additionally, eight professional beggars were arrested and charged under the beggar act. ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has directed police officials to further intensify the crackdown, emphasizing that the safety and security of citizens are the top priorities and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
